Karen - I have detailed records on this Cheatham family and no one married a Fitzpatrick as far as I can tell. The only Cheatham-Fitzpatrick marriage I know of was a Celia Fitzpatrick (born Tn.) who married a Cheatham in the Maury/Giles Co. area of Tn. I doubt that she was connected to your family. Best regards - Bill Cheatham

This is a bit of a long shot, but I am trying to find a Cheatham who was married to Catherine FITZPATRICK (possibly born in NY, father foreign, mother American). She is said to be the sister of my James FITZPATRICK, b. in NY abt 1829 (who was born in NY per census, but lived in Mississippi and supposedly Nashville before 1862), and is said to have lived in Nashville. The family story is that she was married to a relative of "Governor MEACHAM of Tennessee" which, since no such person existed that I can find, I am thinking might instead be one of the CHEATHAM family who were active in Tennessee state government, possibly Richard Boone CHEATHAM who was mayor of Nashville 1860-62. I am having trouble finding a family tree on this family and hoped someone on the list might be able to assist. If I can find Catherine, maybe it will help me soften up the brick wall and find James and the rest of the family.
Thanks,
Karen Dutton
