Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I am very glad to find someone else that is doing the family of John and Rosanna Cheatham, who had a son Robert and Josiah and all the rest of their family.
I have been in touch with Bill Cheatham also, but have proven some of his material incorrect, especially on my family.I was glad to get what he sent me,most of it is in the early 1800's.I am in the process of getting all my Cheathams from myself ,up to what he sent me.
Do you know if John Cheatham was married, before he married Rosanna? I found something that led me to believe he was. If you have any information on Robert and any of his other brothers and sisters, I would appreciate any information you would give me and about his parents. I will share what I have if you let me know what you would like.
No I use to live in Monette Ark.I was born near there at Leachville Ark.
When I got married,55 years ago we moved to Michigan and have been here ever since. We live at Hartford Mich. A little town between Benton Harbor and Detroit Mich. We go back to visit at Monette Ark about ever year,we have friends and a few relatives still there.
Thanks for answering the Cheatham family mail.
Have a good day.

Hi,
I would like to let you know about a new Rootsweb program that will greatly
reduce the time it takes for you to receive posts made to the GenConnect
boards. In the past, I have saved any posts made to the boards during the
week, and then sent them to the list on the weekends. Starting now, all
posts will be sent directly to the mailing list, via the new 'Gateway'
system.
This is the announcement from Rootsweb:
"GenConnect boards can now be 'gatewayed' to mailing lists. When a board is
gatewayed to a mailing list, every message posted to the GenConnect board
will be forwarded to the corresponding mailing list. The message sent to the
list will contain the URL of the specific post to allow the list subscribers
to respond directly to the message. In this manner, gatewaying will enable
more effective communication between the mailing lists and the GenConnect
boards."
I hope you will take this opportunity to try out the family GenConnect boards
and post messages to any of the seven different topics: Bible Records,
Biographies, Deeds, Obituaries, Pensions, Queries, and Wills. As we use
these boards to record our family names and information, they will become an
even greater source of research material.
Please visit the GenConnect boards on the CHEATHAM Resource page...

Thank you,
