Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
William Chavis Sr.
SWAINSBORO - Services for William Bill Chavis Sr. will be at 2 p.m.
Friday in Hendley, Rountree and Powell Funeral Home. Chavis, 81, died
Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was
retired from the city of Swainsboro. He was of the Mormon faith.
Survivors include his children Bonnie Chavis, Jimmy Chavis, John
Chavis, Jerry Chavis, William Chavis Jr. and Mike Chavis, all of
Swainsboro; brother Junior Chavis of San Antonio, Texas; five
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren.
