Just wanted to pass on the word about a site I started that has audio files on the history of Latin America with many dealing directly with Mexico. http://NuestraFamiliaUnida.com
There are audio files in these catagories:
Mujer
Coyote
American Revolution
Interviews
Seminars
Archaeology
History
Recent History
Oral History
Genealogia
Poetry/Cuentos
Música
Comida
Maybe you know someone that would like to contribute an audio file on our history. Please invite them to view the site and contact me at: NFU(a)JosephPuentes.com
Work with me to create something related to the history of the Chavez Name and/or Genealogy.
thanks,
Joseph Puentes

In researching my gg grandfather, Lewis Kennon of Sante Fe and Silver City, I saw in the 1870 census that two children, Martin (age 16) and Isabel (age 12) were living with the Kennon family. There is no mention of them in the 1880 census.
This would mean a birth year of approx. 1854 for Martin and 1858 for Isabel.
Kennon was a prominent doctor in Sante Fe who moved to Silver City four years later. The Chavez children don't appear with his family in the 1880 census.
Does anyone know who they were?
