Hi,
Celso Chavez, in Raton, NM, was a probate court
judge. There was also a Celso Chavez who was
part of the coroner's inquest after the 1913
Dawson mine disaster. Another Celso Chavez is
mentioned in an article regarding the Maxwell
Land Grant, along with Sheriff Pels.
Celso Chavez diet in Raton, in 1924. All were
about the right age as the Celso Chavez that
I am researching. I just don't have enough info
to make the connections. Still, thanks for
responding.

Looking for a birth record & any information on
Celso Chavez. He was born abt 1858 to Casimira
Chavez. Father?? Maternal grandfather was Jose Miguel Chavez of Puertecito, NM.
Celso married Patricia Apodaca around 1881. Can
not find any information on this particular Celso after
that. There is another Celso Chavez living in Raton.NM
in 1910, married to Pablita Varras. Is this the same
Celso? I am stuck on this one. Can't even find Celso's
baptism record.
Thanks, Gloria
