Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Damacio Joe Chavez, 66, of San Diego died Saturday. He was born in McNary, Ariz., and was a painting contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Pricilla; daughters, Bernice Lewis and Jeannette Hazellrigg; son, Wilfred Chavez; sister, Jennie Baca; brother, Lawrence Chavez and nine grandchildren.
Services: noon today, El Camino Mortuary, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego.

Feb. 15, 1937-March 30, 2003
Napoleon " Poli " Chavez, 66, of Portland, Ore., previously of San Diego, died March 30. He was born in Torreon, N.M., and was a musician and an assembly worker for Boeing Aircraft. He was the leader of a band, Chavez and his Coronados. Mr. Chavez served in the Navy. Survivors include his daughters, Vicky Chavez-Martin and Maria Wise; sons, Frank, Danny and David; stepdaughter, Karen Falsario; stepsons, Paul and Eric Hernandez; sisters, Mellie Nuanez and Flora Chavez; brothers, Ezekiel, Julian and Chris; 23 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Rosary: 7 p.m. today, Rose City Funeral Home, Portland, Ore. Services: 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Published in the San Diego Union-Tribune on 4/3/2003. (volunteer submission)

Lorie, could you contact me at mmpayne4(a)juno.com please. You posted an obit for John Hudson Chavez back in March of 2003 that has two names on it that could very well be my great grandparents. But I've been unable to find confirmation...so far. What I need it someone to contact who can give me more info. Sefarino and Delia Hern Chavez were the names. It was the John Hudson Chavez Obit.
