Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

My mother's father, Charles Frederick Chauvin was born around 1880. His family moved to Butte Montana from Quebec-i have a tea set with the initials CC, Butte, Montana engraved. Someone said his mother's name was Carrie Chauvin???? Anyway, he was married and had children who would be around 100 years old; he had another son, Hale Chauvin (he was secretary of the Hale desk Company and worked his way up). hale is in touch with my mom, who's mother he married when he was 60-he died when he was 63. My Grandmother told me he went into kidney failure after having a high temperature, possibly due to the flu. In tracing back history, his father was Joseph Chauvin, prior was Joseph Chauvin and Prior was Leander Chauvin. I think The latter Joseph was married to Harriet pepin. There is a huge geneology-not sure if this is the same family-could be...
