For my stepson I am researching his family (Savijn), which is an uncommon name in Holland. So far I have not been able to find more than a handfull ancestors. Glad to find more about the origin of the name. Is there more to be found on the Internet?

The 1901 census of Canada gives 3 children for Alphonse Chauvin and Heloise Lemire... but the transcription must be really bad because they don't even look like names. Does anyone have these in their data base?
