According to the Taylor County Marriage Book #3 March 26, 1856 to June 20,
1860, pg. 173 the father of Elizabeth M. Gaddie is James. I have that her
mother is Emily E. but no maiden name. This can be found at Taylor Co. page
on rootsweb, under vitals statistics - marriages.

Seeking to identify children of Samuel O Chaudoin and Priscilla Chandler.
They were married about 1818 in Washington Co, KY. Samuel O was born
1792-1796, in either Chesterfield Co, VA or Washington Co, KY. He died
Lincoln CO, KY about 1872. He was son of Andrew M Chaudoin and wife, Sarah
Wheeler or Moore. Priscilla Chandler was born after 1800 in Washington CO,
KY. Date and location of death unknown. Children identified are: (1)
Andrew; (2) Sarah, born about 1828; (3) John W, born after 1820; (4) Rueben;
and (5) Miles. Believe there are other children including Emmaliza that
married Bennett Powers about 1849. The family appears to have moved often,
residing Indiana, Whitley CO, KY as well as Lincoln CO, KY.

I wanted to discuss with the group the parentage of Elizabeth M.
Gaddie. Elizabeth was the wife of Singleton H. Chaudoin (Thomas
Guthrie>Andrew>Francis). I have seen in several family trees that
Elizabeth's parents are listed as Johnson Barrus Gaddie and Anna
Shofner. From writings from my grandmother, and from a deed by
Elizabeth Gaddie Chaudoin, it is my belief that her parents were James
S. Gaddie and Emily Ewing Sympson. My grandmother wrote that
Elizabeth's middle name was "Miriam", not "Mariah". Also the siblings
that she listed for Elizabeth do not match those listed for Johnson and
Anna's children. She also listed several generations of Sympson
ancestors, some of which she personally remembered. Therefore, I
believe that there were two Gaddie girls born in Green County, KY,
within a short time frame of each other, to different parents and both
with the name Elizabeth M. Gaddie. However, Singleton's wife was
Elizabeth Miriam Gaddie, the daughter of James S. Gaddie and Emily E.
Sympson. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thought some of you might be interested in the site mentioned and in Tim's
