Thanks for the information, Betty.
Do you have the date of Benjamin Franklin Arnett's birth and who he married? Were there other siblings for Benjamin? I would assume that Henry Washington Arnett and Martha Susan Chaudoin had other children.
Appreciate your time and trouble.
Audrey

Judi: I have found a James John "Jim" Shadowen in my line. He was born in 1867. I am not sure about his children but I think I can find out about them if you think this date fits what you are looking for.

Hannah: If you look here at ancestry.com on the Shadowens message board, there is a query on there asking about the exact same thing. All of the info you provided seems to match perfectly with what was posted by J. Hooper. The date of that post was Jan 18, 2001. The C. you have listed is probably Coffee (Holland Coffee) and he was my g-grandfather. The last name of Patsy is Dubois, but she cannot be the mother of these children listed as James and Patsy married Jan 8, 1848 and most of the children were already born by then. I have posted a query asking if anyone knows the identity of these children's real birth mother, so you can watch for that. Good luck and I will be watching to see if anything new comes up in this line!!

This may help, I have been searching for Samuel O Chaudoin, born about 1792 in VA and died about 1872 in Lincoln County, KY. He married Prescilla Chandler about 1818 in Washinton County, KY. They moved around a great deal, living Indiana, in Lincoln County, KY, Whitley County, and back to Lincoln County, where he died. I can identify 5 children, but no Mary, or the Emmaliza that I am looking for. Emmaliza was born about 1828, probably in Whitley County. While there were many Shadowen (a variation of Chaudoin) in Pulaski County, Samuel O Chaudoin is the only one I have found in Lincoln County during that time period. The Pulaski Shadowen's were cousins.

I have a copy of my grandfather's death certificate and his mother's surname is hard to decipher. It looks like Mary Ann
Chouteau, Chaudoin, Chat or Chadman. Does anyone have a Chaudoin-Snow connection. They were married in Ky.ca. 1845.
Isaac Snow was born 1824, Lincoln Co. and Mary Ann 1825, in Ky. I found them in Boyle Co.,Ky in 1850. Would appreciate any help or suggestion where to go from here.
Thanks

Thanks for the information. That is what I had in my data. As to who
is Ed ARNETT. I really do not know. The only possible Ed I may have in
my data is Edward H ARNETT, b c.1866. I am not sure who he married or
when he died. And it is quite possible he is not the informant. But he
is a son of Lewis Demarques Arnett and Dorothy Ann Sherrill. Now Lewis
was a son of a Joseph ARNETT and Henry was also a son of a Joseph
ARENTT. But I have different spouses for each Joseph. They could be
the same and married twice..just do not have any supporting data for
either. Did Henry and Martha have any children besides Arrena? DO not
know what the S stands for either..mysteries yet to be solved!
Blessings, Dixie

You are correct:
Martha S. CHAUDOIN was dau/o Benjamin S. CHAUDOIN & Henrietta GUPTON. Wonder what the S. stands for in her name. Martha was an ancestral aunt of my husband.
Her husband was Henry Washington ARNETT according to my research. Who was the informant: Ed ARNETT?

Thanks,
Sorry for the delay in getting back,
She was a Bunch, Pearl Bunch. Although when most of this was written down she was in her 90's.
The worry I have is not so much that she missed the dates by a little but somewhere in there she had the wrong person.
The thing about it is how Luther just magically appears. I have been over every record I can get my hands on and cant seem to make headway after years of trying.
Luther married Pearl Scruggs in Lincoln Co and I know she is connected to the French Huegenots in the area.
Any direction you can point me in would help.
Thanks,
Jeff
