Surname: Shadowen, Chaudoin, Powers
-------------------------
Searching for information of Emmaliza Shadowen, ( or Eliza Chaudoin). I
have information she married Bennett Powers, 8 April 1849 (probably in
Ky or Tn). Her father was shown as Henry Chaudoin of Independence County,
Arkansas. I believe Henry to be the son of Francis Chaudoin, born 1758
in VA. Henry was born 1782, in VA. Many of the VA Chaudoins migrated to
Green County, KY btween 1790 and 1820. One brother, William eventually
settled in Pulaski County KY and was the patirarch of a large population
of Shadowen's. Henry married Nancy Purvis in Pulaski County, KY 1826. Henry
died 1849 in Crittenden County, KY. A daughter of Emmaliza and Bennett
Powers, Precilla Powers married James Franklin Oaks 1871 in Lincoln County,
KY.
I was going thru the New-Star paper in Monroe, LA tonight and ran across the
obituary. Does anyone know who she is?

Surname: CHAUDOIN, BEAVERS, McCANN, JONES
I am doing a research on my mother's paternal family tree. My grandfather
was Robert Barron CHAUDOIN from Jonesville, LA, Catahoula Parish. He was the
son of Wallace (Alexander?)CHAUDOIN. I do not know Wallace's spouse's name,
but he had a son, my grandfather and also two daughters. The names of the
daughters are listed as Maude Chaudoin BEAVERS, and Cornelius May McCann
JONES. I do not know at this time why my Aunt May was listed as a McCann.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
