There is much speculation as to Francis' ancestry, but to my knowledge none
proven.
Always optimistic--Dave

Hi
You can find the information about his parents on my web site at
http://www.hostville.com/ricspage. This information was provided to me
by several other researchers and is believed to be accurate.

Gloria and other Chaudoin Cousins,
Glad you are feeling better and continue in better health.
Of course I know that you wrote a book about the Chaudoins of Va. I
also know and respect Mr
Dorman. I don't have Robert Moore's will here but I quoted from a copy
that came on the net. It did not
have your name on it. I would have certainly credited you for the
submitter if I had known. I don't
remember the exact facts I put in but I seem to remember I put a
disclaimer about mistakes because I
know that I do make mistakes. Would you please tell me so I can correct
my copies.
Thank you for the book number and pages, it will help me find the
will faster the next time I go to
Green County. I need the hand written version.
I too have heart problems. I had a heart attack 2 years ago with the
prognosis of too bad for an operation.
I discovered high blood pressure while in my specialist office during my
annual visit. I am taking one pill
called Atenolol, a form of b p medicine. I have since figured out my
heart rate increases when I open my
Chaudoin web page. I plan to unsubscribe soon in hopes of controlling
this problem without added medicine.
I have Lupus that could be activated again by certain medications. So I
hope you good people will continue to
assist Chris and others. I appreciate everybody that has been generous
with me. Feel free to email me at my
address, but don't expect too much. I don't wish to leave the Chaudoins
altogether, just long enough to straighten
out my problem.

Yes, John (m) Sarah Wilkerson, and that line is in the book, however Matthew
the son of John and Sally died in KY. leaving a will for his wife but none
else is mentioned. If you have any document stateing that Mathew lived on
and had married someone else, all would be surprised. But gratefull. The
information I have for the basis of findings,(1) John Rev. War Pension
records from the state of ILL and his wifes giving the family bible
records.(2) KY Early wills, for Mathew's death. However there was another
son called John M. Which is supposedly Wayne Calks line. He married Rebecca
Edens in Tenn.and moved to ILL for a short time. Then moved on to other
states. This is the findings of three researchers and four cousins. As well
as many long midnight oil trying to figure out the John's we had five all
alive at same time. The zip code here is 94589-26549 Westie GS
Robert Moore wrote his will 29 July 1808 (Green County Ky). In the will
he leaves all his estate to his wife
Susannah to be sold or divided at her death amongst the other legatees,
his children. 19 April 1811 after his
death his wife Susannah Moore (widow) said in court the legatees had
entered into a bond giving her twelve
pounds a year for maintances and she relinquished her right and title to
the estate to the legatees to divide and
do as they think proper....The legatees were; William Moore; Thomas
Guthrey Moore; John Moore; Richard
Moore; Elizabeth Moore...mar Richard Walker; Lucy Moore...mar Robert
Clark; Sarah Moore...mar Andrew
Chaudoin.
Sarah Moore Chaudoin had these children named for her relatives,
Susan for her mother, Thomas Guthery,
named for her brother and probably her mother's father, Elizabeth named
for her sister and John named for her
brother or possibly her husband's brother. There is more evidence but
the duplication of names can be confusing.
In one instance Lewis Chaudoin had a son Andrew b ca 1780 who married a
Mary Moore. The difference in ages
separates the two Andrews.
I have seen the marriage bond and know it says John Wheeler signed
security. I believe Sarah married a young
man and went with him to his home, shortly afterwards this young man
died. It would be fitting for a close
relative to go security. Robert Moore paid taxes in Buckingham Co Va and
moved to Green Co Ky at same time as
the Chaudoin and Druen families. The fact of Robert Moore's death coming
after Sarah's marriage in Virginia has
prevented those Virginia researchers from working a little harder and
getting it right.
I would appreciate some Green County cousins who have a copy of this
will and perhaps other Moore wills to
be kind and help me. If Sarah was the youngest child, as it appears on
the lists, the other children of Robert and
Susannah Moore stayed in Buckingham Co Va with their spouses. Probably
not because probated wills usually
have the current address of the legatee.
Feel free to email me and give me your corrections, I know I can make
mistakes. Thanks

Dear WestieGS,
My husband is a descendant of Francis Chaudoin and Sarah Weaver via their son
John and his wife Sarah Wilkerson and their son, Matthew (who married Laodica
A.) and their son James David (who married Lavina Sanders). Is this line of
the family included in your book? Also, could you please give your zip code
so that I can send for a copy? Sure would appreciate it!
Debbie Howver
Nancy, I wrote a book about our Chaudoin Family beginning in 1750 when
Francis and
Sarah Weaver married up in VA. Which is the way it goes, and goes thru KY
into other states and our family which is also my line, as I descend from
William ShadoanJr., Jane Smith, there daug. Lucy (m) my Gt. G.F. George A.
Lewis and had several children one of which was my G. M. Minnerva Jane Lewis
who (m) John Simi Cowan and had five children, after he died she married
Robt. Mercer and moved to TN. then divorced him after two sons were born and
remarried Thos. Lush and is buried in Somerset City Cemetery under her last
married name. The Shadoan's are buried in Burnside and Alpine and in Wayne
as well as Science Hill
all within Pulaski, CO, KY. The book is still available for 41.50 + 2.25
mailing charge
and your family is in it. Mail to Gloria J. Smith @ 331 Mesa Verde St.,
Vallejo, CA
