Does anyone have any info on a Lillian Chatterton born around 1871 in New York? She married Harry Holborrow in NYC in 1886. Harry and Lillian are my great great grandparents.
Any info would be great!

Initially, I contacted you back in 2003 because we were having a Meermans Family Reunion (one that began back in 1893). I did try to contact someone from your family but they never returned our calls; unfortunately, I cannot remember who we contacted (an older gentleman). My great-grandmother, Eleanor Meermans Lee, knew Perry and Anna because they attended the Meermans' reunions.
Perry Chatterton's wife, Anna Helena Brandenburg, is related to our family through her mother, Lena (Helena) Meermans. Her parents were also my ancestors, Hendrik Meermans and Marina Jumelet. They had ten (10) children: five who never left the Netherlands (your great grandmother, Lena, was one of them) or died young and the other five immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio in the mid-1860s.
My mother and I, along with a cousin from Canada, traced the Meermans family back to the late 1700s, on one of the Zeeland islands called Schouwen-Duiveland (part of the Netherlands).
The Jumelet family can be traced back to 1655 France, a family of French Hugenots who migrated to the Netherlands.
We have not researched anything new since that time but had completed a Meermans family book back in 2003. If you're interested in that or just the chapter relating to Hendrik and Marina, let me know.
Thanks for replying!
Lynn
