Am looking for anyone that might know of a Henry Chatterton that married Bethsheba Shade. They were married in Penn but later lived in York, Neb. They had 3 children--Henry, Lillian,Albert. They were Quakers at one time, I think. This was all around 1830, 40. I also know nothing of Bathsheba Shade and can find absolutely nothing about her family. Can anyone help???.
Here is some information that I've extracted from records in Poughkeepsie
and Dutchess Co NY

How would one find out the name of a Chatterton that married a lady named
Bethsheba Shade?. She was born in 1814 in Penn. and was married to a Fouse,
a Smith, and then a Chatterton. They had 3 children--Henry b. about 1852,
Lillian b. Oct. 39, 1854, and Albert b. 1857. We are decendents of Lillian
who married a Hedgecock but have had difficulty with the Chatterton line
because no one knows his first name. We wonder if it might be Henry but
don't know for sure. I would appreciate any help you might give me to get
me started. I know the children were also born in Penn.
Thanks, Kathie
Help, we're possibly on the same search. My gr, gr, gr, grandfather was Cornelius Chatterton. At one point he lived in Saratoga Co., NY and two of his son's moved to Fulton Co. I have seen census records for Cornelius, William and David in Rochester as well as Irondequoit in the 1860's. Please write to me directly at OPERATOR03(a)aol.com so that we might compare families.
