Karen,
Thank you for publishing my request. I have not as yet received
anything concerning it.
I am not using a computer, but am using a Web TV receiver witha remote
keyboard, through my TV set.
I have always been able to type into the "SEARCH" box the phrase
"Chatham Family Genealogy Forum' and send it out, and dI would receive
just that. It was composed of letters and answers from
Chathams all over, sending out requests for information concerning their
families, and answers from others. I was even able to contact a branch
of my family in Virginia - I live in Tennessee.
Today when I typed in Chatham Family Genealogy Forum, I received a long
list of email addresses containing one or more of those words, but no
Chatham Family Genealogy Forum. Over a 2-3 year period a long lists of
requests and reply letters had accumulated. I cannot understand what
has happened to them unless someone in charge has deleted all of them.
This was a valuable tool for me, and I would like very much to be able
to get this available again. Do you know what I am talking about? And
if so, do you know what has happened. I would appreciate any answers or
help from you or from anyone else that would permit me to once again be
able to have access to this Forum.

I am a Chatham whose family came from PA. My dad was born in Philadelphia
and his dad, from what I have been told, was born in Williamsport. I live
in the Orlando, FL area (as do 2 of my 4 sisters and my brother), but I was
born in Philipsburg, NJ, just across the river from Easton, PA. I'm looking
for my family...Walter DeHaas Chatham, Jr (and Sr), and possibly a James who
was married to Ida Mae Farrell. James was my great-grandfather and was
probably in jail in 1902, when Ida Mae was listed in the census as living
with her father in Philadelphia and had a job as a milner. Other info is
available to any who may want it, and I'm looking for corroboration on my
info.

Hi, I don't think so, although the Alabama and my PA ancestors may go back
to England via Ireland to the same ancestors so don't lose touch. Do you have
more info? I do know that some Chatham's came via PA during the Revolutionary
War (John , John, and William) and may have left some offspring down south.

I used to be able to reach a CHATHAM FAMILY GENEALOGY
FORUM on the
internet, which published letters requesting
information about Chatham
genealogy. I no longer seem to be able to bring it up.
Is it not still
in existence? I would like very much to again have
access to it.
hello are you kin to the alabama chatham? my baby sister was named elizabeth.
