I am interested in finding out more about John Chatham and his wife,
Lucinda Chatham of Caswell County, North Carolina. I have found them
listed in the 1850 Census, and believe them to be the parents of my
great-grandfather, John Calvin Chatham. In the census records John's
age was listed as 51 and his birth place as Virginia. Lucinda was
listed as 43 and born in Caswell County, N.C. I have also found a
marriage bond dated February 7, 1829 for John Chatham and Lucinda
Davis. One of the witnesses who signed the bond was an Isaac Chatham.
