Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

I believe your Chatfield line is another line in England.
I am descended from Thomas Chatfield, born 1450,
in Sussex, which is in the south. Another line comes
from the north which, I think, is probably your line.

Thomas Chatfield b. 1874, His parents were James and Sarah (Plester)
Chatfield. James marriage certificate is available on Rootsweb link Free
BMD, for a fee. This would give you his fathers name. On the England census
I could only trace them back to the 1881 census. James family were all born
in Birmingham.

I could not find any of your Chatfields in my files.
As I understand it, there were two lines of Chatfields
in England. One in the north and one in the south.
Mine come from Sussex which is in the south.
I am descended from Thomas Chatfield, born 1450
in Sussex. They must be linked somewhere.
