I have one Ed Chat(t)field born in Marquette, NE, who married my distant cousin Ruby M. DRAKE of Natoma, KS, d/o Edgar (b 10 Jan 1871 MO) and Laura May (b 19 Apr 1875) WI GROUT DRAKE.
Ed and Ruby had five known children and I can number a couple more generations with only a few names therein.
Does any of this information appear in your own family tree research?
Thanks for reading.
Hi all,
In the spirit of Halloween, October 31st, and All Souls Day, November 2nd,
for the next two weeks, please feel free to post burial dates and locations for
any ancestor or family member whose birth name or married name was CHATFIELD.
If you'd like to take it a step further, include any off-the-wall tales
related to your family research. Have you solved a mystery or broken down a brick
wall with the help of a tombstone epitaph? Tell us about it! I love the poems
and messages found on gravestones....let us know if you've recorded a memorable
one.
Please be sure to change the subject line to the name of your ancestor.
This topic will be open until November 2nd, so join in and have some fun!
Thanks,
LaRae

Looking for an Alfred Chatfield, born Middlesex in circa 1844. He moved to
Birmingham circa 1860, shown on census as chimney sweep, not sure why, and when
moved. He went on to marry an Eliza Field. I have details of all familly
that follow him should anybody require.
Also,
Looking for info on a Charlie Chatfield, born 1910 Birmingham, who I am told
was a prisoner of war in Japan/Burma. My mother tells me that when he came
back/released that he brought with him a roll of beautiful silk material. All she
can remember was that she was about 12 or so, and a dress was then made for
my mother, who is now 70 years of age. I would like to know where he was a
prisoner of war.
Many thanks ...all help appreciated.
