Hi Everyone,
I am new to the list and would like to introduce myself to everyone. I too
am researching the Chatfield surname-Here is my line:
Thomas Chatfield- ?
John Chatfield-Alice Stapley
Richard Chatfield-Elizabeth Brane
Francis Chatfield-Anne Peckham
George Chatfield-Margaret ?
Henry Chatfield-Jane Wykeham
*George Chatfield-Isabel Nettleton
John Chatfield-Anna Harger
John Chatfield-Elizabeth Johnson
Oliver Chatfield-Zerviah Tomlinson
Abijah Chatfield-Hannah Ball
Enos Chatfield-Roxy Sperry
Heber Chatfield-Jennie Wooster
Carrie Julia Chatfield-Albert E Radcliffe
(If any of you have a copy of "The Chatfield Family" you will find Carrie
Julia-who is my Great Grandmother listed as having died as a child-but it
was her sister Jennie. I have a copy of the birth and death
records-Unfortunately as a result I'm always cut off the Chatfield Family
Tree)
Presently I have 6947 descendants of *George (and some of his brother
Thomas) in my tree-I would love to add any missing branches and twigs. If I
can be of any help please let me know-Most of my data is on those Chatfields
who originated and stayed in CT where I live. I have many of the CT
genealogy books. Just last weekend my Aunt and I went and took pictures at
some of the cemeteries in the area. I live in Beacon Falls and am willing to
look up someone in the area (Oxford, Seymour, Beacon Falls, Ansonia, Derby,
Bethany and Woodbridge) I have a digital camera and could e-mail you the
picture. Sorry for rambling on-Good luck in your searches!
Hello list
I'm new to the list and thought I would post my interests.
My mother was a Chatfield, Irene May Chatfield, born in Uckfield, Sussex.
Her mother was a Chatfield who lived in East Grinstead, Sussex, and I can't
locate her anywhere. Her name on my mother's baptismal certificate is
"Lettie Dora Chatfield". I have found a Nellie Dora Chatfield from EG with a
birthdate which would fit (1890s) but my mother was very specific that her
mother's name was "Lettie", short for "Letitia".
Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Hi, I am a Chatfield and new to the list. Our family can be traced back to George and his two brothers in 1639 (when they arrived in America). I am looking forward to meeting all my "relatives". Thank you. Sandy Chatfield Metzdorff Wadena Minnesota
Hi,
I am Bill Klauk, a 3rd great grandson of Hannah Chatfield that married
Jonathan Willard Hazen. According to my notes, Hannah was the daughter of
Roswell and Sarah (Sheffield) Chatfield. I am not making any inquiries at
this time on this line, but wanted to document that I have joined the list.

Hello, CHATFIELD researchers!
It has been two months since our last roll call. A number of new listmembers
have joined us over the summer, so lets start August with another "Sound
Off"!
Not only will it let us get to know each other better, it might also help you
make that connection you've been hoping to find. If we each make it a point
to respond, I'm sure the results will be most rewarding!
For our new folks, a "Sound Off" works like this:
Use the following form by selecting it and copying it into a new email.
Fill in your relevant information.
The surnames may change, but carry the generations forward to the present.
(Or as current as you care to list.)
Please include Birth and Death YEARS only -- i.e., 1822-1876.
Post your completed form to the list at CHATFIELD-L(a)rootsweb.com
...and be sure to replace the Subject line with the name of your Earliest
CHATFIELD.
Thanks,
LaRae
