Hello Listers,
For those of you able to watch BBC One this evening at 9pm, the programme Who Do You Think You Are? is focusing on a UK presenter
called David Dickinson who will be tracing his Armenian ancestors.
I am rubbing my hands with glee and opening a bottle vino!
Best wishes

Hi Paul,
I have found a reference to Annie Isabella Chater in the 1891 census. In the country of Cumberland in the parish of Newton Annie Isabella Chater, Single, 23, domestic servant (cook) worked for Margaret Birkett a 70 year old widow at 27 Croft House. Annie was born in Westmoreland Templeson ??.
There are also several references in the 1901 to an Alice Chater as well as various Annie's.
best wishes
