The first one is my grandfather. I have the same info as you, I'm trying to find out his brothers and sisters names as well as his father, mother and aunts and uncles (on his father's side).
Please let me know if you have any more leads.
Thanks
Rhonda

Just thought you ought to know that I have recently found 2 Lazarus Joseph

Lazarus Joseph Chater is my great grandfather, I don't have a lot of info on
him I know he was married twice, I believe his first wife died and then he
possibly married her sister. I believe that his father's name is Joseph
Chater
because any info I found says J.Chater. I will get some more names and dates
for you, what other information do you have on Lazarus? Is Ivan any relation
to
Lazarus?

Dear Listers:
I wonder if anyone could give me information on the death of Ivan
Chater who died in India during World War Two, and Lazarus Joseph
Chater who apparently died in France in the 1940s?
Thanks

I am looking for information on a CHAYTOR/ CHAYTER family that are listed in the 1784 Passamaquddy Loyalist list as being given lands there. The NB Land Grants, vol. NS-A, page 176, grant 96, show that John Chaytor received 100 acres (May 21, 1785).
The Loyalist list shows his family as being:
John Chaytor (adult male)
Mary Chaytor (adult female)
Margaret Chayter (child over 10)
Jane Chayter (child over 10)
John Chayter (child over 10)
Thos. Chayter (child over 10)
Jane Chayter (child under 10)
John Chayter (child under 10)
Thos. Chayter (child under 10)
(The names were written in groups, first adult males, then adult women, followed by children over 10 and children under 10. Jane, John, and Thomas were listed in both childrens sections, so I would guess that they were mistakenly written twice and cannot be sure which category they actually fit in.)
Does anyone have information on this family? Where did they come from and what happened to them afterward? I haven't been able to trace them either direction. Thanks for any help!
