Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Thank you so much for this post Ray. This is such great information. My G.G. Grandmother is Mary Ellen Shasteen Neal. Her father was Jacob, Jesse and Letitia Jane Jett's Child. Your post validated the information that I had thank goodness. It is such a confusing family tree, but it makes a whole lot more sense now. My family is all still in the Southern part of Middle Tennessee and she is buries in Franklin County with the rest of my family. I am also related to Elizabeth Cleveland Coffee through a different branch of my family so it was very surprising to see her name her as well. There are still many Shasteen's/Chasteen's in that area. I thought that the name difference was due to a spit between some of the brothers during the Civil War and members serving on different sides. I read that posted somewhere. I'm still not sure if its originally Shasteen or Chasteen. I'd love to see any more information you may have from Jesse on up. Especially above William !
