Hi Jim,
I have two different Chasteen lines that I have come to dead ends on,
First, I am looking for the Parents of JOHN BURTON CHASTEEN, born 1822 in TN
and died in 1862, Missouri after being bushwacked. He was married to Sarah
White, b 1826 in Lincoln Co., TN. This family moved to Missouri around 1847
and settled in the Cape Girardeau-Stoddard Co. area.
Second, I am searching for the ancestry of Revolutionary War Soldier James
Chasteen, born 1760 Albemarle Co., VA and died 1841 in MAdison-Rockcastle
Co., KY. He was married to Nancy (Canady)Kennedy, born abt 1756 in Albemarle
Co., VA and died abt 1855 Rockcastle Co., KY.
Thank you for any help.
Audri
Hi List,
Just wanted to check in with you and let you know if you have any questions regarding our list or have any problems, please contact me privately.
We have 27 members of the regular (L) list and 5 members on the digest (D) list.
Since I'm new to the list, let's start again introducing ourselves and our connections to the Chasteen surname and our area of research.
If at any time you have any questions regarding to our list, please feel free to contact me privately.
As long as it is related to the CHASTEEN surname, historically or genealogically, it is welcomed on our list. I encourage discussions of "brick walls", sharing of our families, and active participation is always welcomed. Non-related topics are inappropriate, as are poems, virus or worm warnings, etc.
The main idea is: 1. share our families, help others, start discussions and help each other find our families 2. Have fun
Happy hunting,
Jo Autrey
