It is not unusual to find names different in the census. The name is "Millard" and "Lettie". There were no names listed for the family. Good to see that you are still with the Chastain Family. If you have any information that goes on further back, there is a "Pierre Chastain Family Assoc." online.

Message Board Post:
I was checking the 1900 census for Harrison County, TX and I found Lettie's father, Joseph, and mother, Francis E., in it, and their children are listed as Millard (census lists as a girl, but other sources say Millard is a boy), Lillie (I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be "Lettie"), Frederick, Joseph E., and Clarance. All of the other information matches what I have on Lettie's family. Can anyone clear up why Millard is listed as girl in some sources but as a boy in others and if "Lillie" is really supposed to be "Lettie? Or is "Lettie" is really named "Lillie?"
Thanks!
