Trying to find a picture if there are any of my gg-grandparents John Stone and Nancy Chastain. Nancy was the daughter of Jonathan Davis Chastain and Rachel Stover. Their graves are in Ebenezer Cemtery in Gilmer County. Any help would be appreciated.

Unless this was a recent reproduction the Photo Postcard did not become
popular until the 1890's and then vanished soon after WWI. My
Grandfather had a business "Postcard View" selling them in St Cloud
Florida about 1910. You are probably looking for a tin type or one of
the early types of photographs on paper. Until 1882 when Eastman
developed emulsion on paper photography was on glass plates and
expensive. In 1888 Eastman patented the roll film process making mass
market photography a possibility.
Prior to 1870 the photographer had to prepare the glass plate and use it
immediately and develop it within minutes of it being taken making
producing a photograph a slow process or one where several people worked
together to produce the photograph.
Most of the Sepiatone Photos glued to cardboard date to the 1880's by
the 1890's negative film was inexpensive enough to allow for multiple
copies of the same photo. In 1900 Kodak invented the Brownie this is the
black square box camera that had to be turned in for developing and
reloading with new film. By1920 the black and bright white print was the
photograph produced.
