Hello Chastain Listers,
I have lost contact with John B. Gordon, a descendant of John Bunyan
Chastain.. The email address I had for him (demccclib(a)juno.com) is no longer
working.
If anyone knows where he is, please let me know.

I'm very sorry to report the following. Our longtime Genealogist, charter
member of PCFA, and current Corresponding Secretary, Geraldine B. "Gerre"
Buland passed away yesterday morning. Gerre had been very ill the last
several weeks but couldn't bounce back this time. She has been a stalwart
of this association and has helped countless numbers link their genealogy
records. I will miss her guidance and knowledge greatly.
Jimmy

Dear Jim and Loyce,
I wanted you to know that my mother died yesterday morning. They think
she had a stroke on Thursday evening, and never regained consciousness. She
left us peacefully and quietly which answered our prayers of the past few
weeks.
I'm giving you the information about her service tomorrow afternoon and
flowers, etc. with a request that you forward it to other Chastain members
you think she would want to know. Thank you in advance for your kindness in
doing this.
The Chastain group was Mother's passion, and she cared very much for all
of you and the organization.
Flowers:
Due to time constraints, the most efficient way to send flowers is to call
Flowers by Sally Ann here at 800/749-5738. Just mention it is for Geraldine
Buland at Hayhurst Funeral Home. They are taking care of all the flowers
for us.
Memorial service:
Wednesday, November 3rd, at 2:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in
Tulsa. Address: 709 S. Boston Ave. Phone #584-4701.
Later, I plan to establish a fund at the Tulsa Genealogy Society Library
in her name. I forward that information when I can get it done.
Thank you so very much for all the joy your group gave my mother.
Love,
Nancy
