I am searching for any information on Joseph Chastain son of Abraham Chastain, son of Dr. Peter (Pierre) Chastain, Jr., son of Dr. Pierre Chastain, Sr. of Manakan, VA. Abraham Chastain moved to Few's Chapel (Tigerville), Greenville Co., SC. Any one with any information on this family, please let me know. I have come to a stand still and need to complete it. I think he had a son named Benjamin E. Chastain who had a son named James who is suppected of having an Indian mother. His son Benjamin Franklin (Frank) Chasteen had a son named James W. (Jay) Chasteen and he had a son named J. T. (Jay) Chasteen and he had a daughter named Margie Chasteen and that's me. Please, anyone, help me complete this family tree.
Thanks
Volume II - the sixth generation - of Pierre Chastain and his Descedants
arrived from the publisher today. What a great volume. A hearty thanks to
Robert W. Leishman, Gerre Buland, and Loyce Johnson Coolidge and the Pierre
Chastain Family Association for their tireless effort in producing the
volume.
Now I had best get busy on the seventh generation of my line to get it
submitted before the next volume is assembled.

Is there anyone on this list who can help me with my research on the
Chastain family?
I am trying to put together the children and grandchildren of Rev. John 'Ten
Shilling Bell' Chastain. I believe that I descend from this person. I am
especially interested in the children of Elijah and Edward Chastain. Does
anyone have any wills or other documents on these people?
My ancestor was James Chastain born abt 1814 in North Carolina. He was in
Gilmer Co., GA in 1840 when he married his wife Elizabeth Smith. He was
listed in the 1850 census living two households from Rachel Chastain, who
was married to Jonathan D. Chastain, who I believe was first cousin to my
ancestor.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Frank Victor Chastain married Lillie Mae Baggett, and they had two children:
Reba Chastain, and Charles Frank Chastain.
I am the daughter of Florence Marina Sorrells, and I would like to fill in some of the gaps in the Chastain lines. If you are related reasonably closely to any of the people mentioned, and have some knowledge where I have gaps, please contact me, thanks!
