Thomas Edward Chase, 58, of Gainesville, Texas died June 4 at his residence.
Services were held June 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Victor Cruz officiating.
Burial with Military Honors was in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of
the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.
Pallbearers were Isaac Chase, Pete Chase, Travis McNair, Jonathan Grace, Jeff Cagle, Mike Moore, Larry Durnberger and Jonathan Chase.

Thomas Edward Chase was born May 1, 1955 in Washington, Pa., to Harry and Beverly Cresswell Chase, Jr. Thomas Edward Chase served in the United States Air Force and was a computer consultant in Cooke County. He was a member of the Gainesville Lions Club, serving as a past president. He was active in all phases at the Butterfield Stage Playhouse, including singing in musicals, acting, a stage hand and any other task needed. He had singing roles in “My Fair Lady,” “Hello Dolly,” “Footloose” and others. His favorite character role was Froggy in “Foreigner.”

Thomas Edward Chase is survived by his wife, Karla Chaquette “Kit” Chase; son and daughter-in-law, Isaac and Kate Chase; son, John Chase; daughters and sons-in-law, Tanya and Travis McNair, Rachel and Jonathan Grace; Tammi and Jeff Cagle and Andrea Williams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete and Debra Chase and Phillip and Christine Chase; brother, James Chase; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Mark Gray; sister, Sue Burch; father, Harry Chase, Jr.; and grandchildren, Hannah McNair and Amelia Chase.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Chase; and sister, Ann Ludwick.

Shem Douglas Webler passed away in his Seattle home June 9th, 2013. Shem was born, June 6, 1977 in Springfield, Missouri, son of Harriet Chase and Gerald Webler.
Immediately after his graduation from Coeur d’Alene High School in Coeur d'Alene Idaho, he enlisted in the US Army. During his marriage to Jill (Roe) McFall of Troy, Idaho the couple had two beautiful girls Rachel and Ashley.
Shem served as a Medical Lab Technician in Korea, Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio TX, Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI and Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. During his 15 years of service Shem achieved the rank of Sergeant and was awarded numerous medals and honors as well as served in Iraq. After being Honorably Discharged from the Army he was employed at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. During his career he was able to achieve a Bachelor of Science and was working towards his Masters in Chemistry.
Shem is survived by his mother, Harriet Chase, father Gerald Webler and wife Kelly, his daughters Rachel and Ashley Webler and siblings Edward Webler and wife Desiree, Kevin Webler and wife Vanessa, Nephi Webler, Jared Webler, Seth Webler, Aaron Webler and wife Jeanie, Angie Farmer, Samantha Stout and husband Dwayne and Daniel Bird and wife Amanda. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and many brothers and sisters in uniform.
Memorial services will be Monday June 24th at 10:30 AM in Medical Lake, WA. at The Washington State Veterans Cemetery 21702 W. Espanola Rd. Donations can be made in his honor to "War Dogs Making It Home" at the following link

Nearly all the officers and men of the battery having been killed or
wounded, this soldier with a comrade continued to fire his gun after the guns had
ceased. The piece was then dragged off by the two, the horses having been
shot, and its capture by the enemy was prevented.
