I am looking for information on Rev John W Bragg (1815 VA > 1894 NE) and
his descendents. I am his great great grandson.
I have plenty of information on him and the family prior to them leaving WV
in 1884, however I cannot find much on him after his arrival in Nebraska.
He is listed in the 1885 Census for Nebraska and also in the "Funeral
Records Book", Chase County Public Library as having died on 3 Dec 1894.
I am more than willing to share all information that I have on him and
his/my family. Reverend Bragg was well liked and highly regarded when he
lived in WV. He married close to 400 couples and was involved in the founding
of many churches in those hills.
He moved to Nebraska at age 78 with a big family. I have been able to
trace some of them into Kansas, Iowa, Colorado, Washington and other states.
I currently live in Texas with my wife and son. I am heavily involved in
the genealogy of my family. Again, any help or assistance will be greatly
appreciated. I will even send you an invite to the reunion next year.
Any conversation (good or bad) will be appreciated.
Brady Bragg
