Hi,Jeffrey,
I have moved house and now live in Bromley, a suburb of greater London.
We are now in what is called a Retirement Flat but had to change email
addresses as this area has not got cable.
I rejoined the Group a few days ago.
For yours and others information I have tried to get copies of the
Chase/Chace website URL you sent to me some weeks ago.
but have not been sucessful.
The loss of both my full back-ups is unbelievable. The portable HDD i had
the full site on wioll not work and I have been quoted an astronomical price
for
recovery,( well over $1000!)
my email address is k.hume(a)virgin.net
Hope to hear from you and if Lonnie Chase is still a member I would
appreciate him making contact

Thank you for your interest and help. Apparently the General was a bit of a
private man when it came to his family. Other than a list of their children
and his work and military background I haven't found out much about them. I
understand there are several books about him that I will chase down through
the library to see if there is any more data there. I was hoping that
others who had him in their genealogy files might have more info about
Harriet. Again, thank you for responding.
I would like information about Harriet Byron Chase, born June 20 1824 in Canderbury Conn. She married (General) Alexander Peter Stewart (Stuart?) in Warren Ohio in 1845. She is, according to a couple of hand written notations on a photograph of Gen. Stewart, the daughter of "Aunt Alice", a cousin of my Great Grandfather, William T Quinby. I have not been able to determine where Aunt Alice Chase is connected and would like to obtain more information about Harriet's ancestors if possible.
