Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I did research on this family thinking it was mine. I found it is not, but hope this info helps someone else. I have more info if you want it. Judy

I just found a notation in my Grandfather's Bible giving vital statistics
about his mother, father and brother. The interesting stand alone notation
says: "Mrs. Wooden died in 1890.
She probably would have died in New York, less likely in Iowa or elsewhere.
I suspect this Mrs. Wooden was a CHASE or HAVENS relative.
Does anyone have any Mrs. Wooden in their line?
Thanks,
Rex Chase

Thanks!
I'm not sure this is a good thing: until now, I didn't have to pay a lot of attention to all that Aquila and Thomas business because I *knew* there was absolutely no connection, anywhere... Shows you how much *I* know... ;-)
An old friend of my husband used to say, "There's 450 people in the world; they just go 'round and 'round." The people count has been decrementing over the years, and it's down to about 424.

Found another CHASE in the family tree (I don't know what it is; they just keep popping up)...
My GGG Aunt Julia Ann LATOURELLE's second husband (and father of 10 of her 13 children) was one Shadrack Schuyler SPAULDING. His sister, Tryphene Miles, married Parker L CHASE on 8 Dec 1842 (according to a WorldConnect tree at RootsWeb).
Parker L and Tryphene, and their daughter, Viola, appear in the 1850 US census in Charleston, Orleans, VT; Parker L is enumerated as a farmer (no surprise). There is another Parker CHASE, age 65 and born in New Hampshire, in Charleston in 1850 (Parker L's dad?).
In 1880, Parker L and Tryphena M are in Alto, Fond du Lac, WI.
Anybody have a connection?

There is an interesting article on AOL today titled $10,000 Bill Gets More
Secure Home." It bears a likeness of Salmon P. Chase along with a brief bio. If
AOL is not available, it's an Associated Press release.
many of you who will have been with the Chase Group for some time will recall that, aided by many of you, I produced a cd containing as much information as I had.
This, basically, mirrored the site but had other advantages,
Recently I have had a couple of queries re the site and the database. So I have been rummaging amoung my many home made cds for information re the data that was lost when the original Chase site Crashed.
I came acroas a draft copy of yjr Chase/Chace cd and decided to have a look.
I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find that most of the links to Internet sites were still viable, but better still, all had been updated.
Having not visited the cd for over 2 years I was amazed at how much more information could be obtained in the Archive sections as well as Land Registry which could be considered an archive.
For those of you who have a copy do have a look!!

After losing my Compuserve e-mail over a year ago, I am back on the list
again. Married for a 3rd time now, I have also joined the ALLMAN list to
help on my wife's lines.
Keith Hume, I sent you a private note about the CHASE database on family
surname about some errors and updates needed.

While I do not know from whence he descended, it apparently (after a search)
isn't the Aquila line.

Would anyone know what, if any, connection the well-known American
Impressionist artist William Merritt Chase (painted in late 1800's/early
1900's) has to the family? I enjoy his work very much. If anyone has
anything on this person, I think we'd all be interested to hear about it.
Thanks -

Hi there all you Chases,
Would anyone know the Benjamin Chase/Chace that married Mercy Simmons on June 23, 1703 in Taunton, MA?
I did a "forbidden" thing! I forgot to type in the source of my information and I am at my wits' end. I want to make sure that I have the correct parents of them.
I guess it is time that I give this up. I'm getting too old for it. I do like to read the messages on the list though. Some real interesting information comes along sometimes. You al have been a real source of encouragement.
