The family Bible states the following about my ggggrandmother:
"Susanah Chase born March 7, 1803 at Montreal Teower, Canada, of English
parantage."
She married Jeremiah Cramer Oct. 12, 1821.
I am looking for her parents and to find out where she was married.
Any ideas on parentage or where I can look up info on her and her family?
Does anyone know of any web sites I can go to, to find info on births, deaths,
and marriage in Canada in the 1800's?
Thank you for any help you can give me. Judi

While searching for my elusive Slawson/Chase connections, I stumbled on to a
site on line that offers the "Waters Journal" of Eli Chase (1808-1851) of
Ellisburg, NY, and his journey westward with pioneer Mormons. He mentions
sojourns and unfriendly neighbors in Missouri and at Nauvoo IL, plus the loss
of various family members on the westward trek.
It's an interesting bit of history, and I hope he belongs to some of you.

Hi,
I have been looking for information on Sarah Chase who was born in
Massachusetts(surprise!surprise!)
and died in 1846 in Cortland or Oneida County, NY(family moved to Cortland
from Oneida in 1838). She married Michael Hollenbeck, born in Vermont,
about 1821. Michael Hollenbeck's first wife died maybe in childbirth in
1820 (daughter lived). Michael also had 2 sons by first marriage according
to a relative's research. My GGG Grandfather Michael Hollenbeck,jr. was
born in 1822 in Oneida County, NY. They also had a daughter Minerva or
Manerva. I am not sure if Chase is her maiden name or if she was married
before. Any hints would be appreciated. I also looked at the Archives,
what is the latest research on any relationship between Aquila, Thomas, and
William? Are these men still the immigrants who all or most Chases are
related to?

Some of you may know or have corresponded with Lynn Chase, her father passed
away a couple of days ago. He was Junior Chase, yes his first name was
"Junior." Lynn is just out of the hospital from having surgery so things
have hit her all at once. If you would care to send her a note, her address
is:
JLynn112(a)aol.com
She will be away from home for a time, getting things in order for her
mother who is also ill.

Elmer Leroy Craik's 1922 book "History of the Church of the Brethren in
Kansas," on p 158 lists the charter members of the Hutchinson KS church, which
became a separate congregation in 1916. It was an outgrowth of the Pleasant
View Church. Among the charter members:
"... Ernest Chase, Sister Chase, Ethel Chase, May Chase..."
