I so appreciate the information that the diocese sent me. But I feel sure that its file is missing the many years that Father Louis Charron, SJ worked with the Ojibwe tribe members near Ashland WI. Although I am not related to the Charron family I will make an effort to find someone who can give us insight into all the work that Father Charron did.
I see that Ancestry does not accept the PDF in which the information was listed. At another time I will add the information.
Main point is that 18 years of missionary seem to be missing. But happily all of his diocesan missions will be listed.

In the History of Barron Co, the biographical sketch gives the names John Baptiste Charron and Delphine Daigneau as being the parents of Toussaint A. Charron. I have just found a marriage record with those names, I now believe that I have the names of Tous' 4 grandparents. I will post the marriage record at Charron in a new thread.

As with many of the entries in this type of biographical sketch the information in some cases conflicts with other sources. This bio says TA Charron was born in Montreal. I believe he was born in Quebec.
It correctly says that Cecilia Dorris and TA Charron's only child who lived to adulthood Mary Irene married Wm. D. Brady, a banker in Rice Lake. I am not aware that they ever had children. But I hope that I am wrong as I would like to find any children of Irene and William Brady.
The link to this very interesting bio also include a page size picture of Dr. and Mrs. Toussaint Charron of Rice Lake WI. This is part of the Google digitalized books collection. I believe that the link is safe having used this book quite often.

Charron, Toussaint A. MD: Commemorative Biographical Record of the Upper Lake Region 1905 transcribed by Kim Mohler.
http://genealogytrails.com/wis/barron/bios.htm
"T. A. Charron, M.D.
"Rice Lake, Barron Co., Wis., is particularly blessed in the matter of physicians, there being within its confines a number of distinguished representatives of the medical calling, among whom Dr. T. A. Charron is one of the most popular, although he is still a young man.
Dr. Charron was born at St. Hubert, Chambly Co., Quebec, Sept. 29, 1860, of French origin, son of John B. and Delphine (Daigneault) Charron, both natives of Chambly county. John B. Charron was a farmer who lived to be seventy-three years of age. His father attained the advanced age of eighty-nine years, and was killed by a fall. Twelve children were born to John B. Charron and his wife, eight sons and four daughters.
Dr. Charron had excellent advantages for securing an education, having been sent to the Montreal College, from the Medical Department of which college he was graduated in 1887. Immediately thereafter he came to Rice Lake and commenced what has grown into a very large and lucrative practice. In addition to his labors as a physician, Dr. Charron owns 312 acres of land in the vicinity of Rice Lake, on which he has a fine dairy, and makes a specialty of breeding Poland China swine and Short Horn cattle. He is also the proprietor of two creameries, one being located at Rice Lake and the other at Dobie. Dr. Charron has been active in politics, and for four years has served as mayor of Rice Lake, conducting the affairs of the town with the same keen foresight he has used in his private affairs, and becoming thereby still more popular."
Dr. Charron is connected with the M.W.A., the A.O.U.W. and the Catholic Knights, for all of which he is medical examiner. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and in the Inter-County Medical Association, and is much valued in these professional organizations.
In 1886 Dr. Charron married Cecilia Dorris, daughter of N. Dorris, of Montreal, and granddaughter on the maternal side of Painsonncault Louis, one of the patriots in the Rebellion of 1837 in Canada. This remarkable old gentleman reached the advanced age of ninety-three years. One daughter has been born to Dr. and Mrs. Charron, Marie Irene, now a student at the Convent of the Holy Name of Montreal."

PRIEST FOR 18 YEARS AT MISSION SPRINGS BURIED TODAY.
"RICE LAKE - (UP)- Funeral services -were to be held today for the Rev. Louis Charron, 70, widely known Catholic priest who for 18 years served as missionary priest at historic Mission Springs at the head of Chequamegon bay in northern Wisconsin. *
He died here April 15. His last three years were spent doing missionary work in Rice Lake. Before going to Mission Springs he had been pastor of St. Louis Catholic Church at Washburn.". Publication: Madison Wisconsin State Journal April 18, 1939
Mission Springs was located a few miles from Ashland Wisconsin near Lake Superior. The Diocese of Superior , Wisconsin commemorates Louis Charron's death on April 8th in its necrology. I assume he reported to the Superior bishop. * Link to area he worked in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chequamegon_Bay

Could I have suggestions as to which location boards to post information on Toussaint Aimee Charron, MD & his brother Rev. Louis Charron, sons of Jean Baptiste Charron & Delphine Daigneau or Daigneault?
Tous. A. Charron's wife was Lea-Celiste Dorri or Dorisse. I believe that Celiste was the daughter of Marie Pinsonnault & Narcisse Dorrisse & granddaughter of Saint-Remy farmer Louis Pinsonnault, a patriot in the Rebellion of 1837.
Tous, Celiste & Louis Charron each died in Wisconsin, USA. I have a short obituary for Louis. Tous was mayor of Rice Lake, Barron, WI, USA for 10 years. A medical doctor, he also owned a cattle farm & racing horses. Once I access a Rice Lake WI newspaper, I expect to have an obituary for him.
I believe that this is the baptismal record for the correct Tous: Name: Toussaint Aime Charron, Gender: Male, Christening Date: 30 Oct 1860, Christening Place: Saint-Antoine-de-Longueuil, Longueuil, Chambly, Quebec, Birth Date: 30 Oct 1860, Birthplace: St. Antoine de Longueuil, Chambly, Quebec, Father's Name: Jean Baptiste Charron, Mother's Name: Delphine Daigneau, Indexing Project (Batch) Number: C02645-7, System Origin: Canada-EASy, GS Film number: 1031712, Reference ID: P142 B210
I believe this is the family in 1881 Can census. Delphine the wife & mother died in 1878.

I wonder if this is Tous' father Jean Baptiste Charron in the 1851 census.
Name: Jean Baptiste Charran, Province: Canada East (Quebec), District: Chambly County, District Number: 5, Sub-District: Longueuil, Sub-District Number: 61, Page Number: 123, Line Number: 29, Affiliate Film Number: C_1117
I wonder if this is the christening record for the correct Jean Baptiste Charron.
Name: Jean Baptiste Charon, Gender: Male, Christening Date: 10 Dec 1810, Christening Place: St. Antoine de Lonqueuil, Chambly, Quebec, Canada, Birth Date: 09 Dec 1810, Birthplace: St. Antoine de Lonqueuil, Chambly, Quebec, Father's Name: Jean Baptiste Charon, Mother's Name: Marie Bouteille dit Bonneville, Indexing Project (Batch) Number: C02138-8, System Origin: Canada-EASy, GS Film number: 1031707, Reference ID: Bp-92
