I'm afraid I don't have very much information about my Joseph Charron. The information I have is just from notes from my grandmother. Her grandfather was named Joseph Charron. I don't know his DOB or DOD. He married Philomene Lemar, born 1834, died 1920. They had 12 children, one of which was my great grandmother. I don't think this connects to your information but if I'm wrong let me know. I do have the names of the twelve children and many of their descendants.

I think that the person you are referring to is Johnny Charron the cousin of Noe Charron. The information I received from someone who knew him is that he was shot by his friend while hunting. His friend who was standing behind him shot him in the helbow by accident. By the time he decided to see a doctor, it was too late and they had to amputate his arm above the elbow. I have a photo of him. This Jhonny Charron first married Caroline Poitras (daughter of Cyrille and Caroline Franche-Laframboise) on 19 Nov 1883 in N.D. de la Salette. They had three children (Honore, Aldege and Philomene) before Caroline Poitras died in 1888. He then married Mathilde Boisvert (daughter of Louis Boisvert and Genevieve Paquin) 13 Oct 1890 also in La Salette. They had five other children (Rosalba, Cordelia, Laurentia, Omer and Adrien). Here is how Jhonny Charron connects to your ancesters:
Jhonny Charron (Caroline Poitras - Mathilde Boisvert)
Paul Charron (Philomene Desjardins)
Louis Charron (Josephte Desjardins - Pauline Ethier)
Louis Charron (Marie-Victoire Charbonneau)

Following is a very little bit of information - don't know if it will help:
I have a Joseph Charron who married a Philomene Lemieux on 17 feb 1874 in Ottawa, Ontario.
My (questionable and unverified) records show that Joseph's parents are Jean-Baptiste Charron who married angele Leverd on 31 jul 1838 at Ste Scholastique, Deux Montagnes, Quebec.
JB is the son of JB2 (b.1792) who married Marie Anne Perreault on 26 sep 1814 at St. Benoit, Deux Montagnes, Québec, Canada
My rootsweb database is :craigsharrow
if your ancestor turns out to be the one I mention above, would you please share your descendant line with me? I don't have any descendants for Joseph.
Thanks

Hi Bill
Thanks for these nice souvenirs. I also fished in the same area with my father. I don't know how Ovide Charron and his wife died. All I know is that they both died in 1989. I have a photo of the headstone. I wrote to you directly and included photos but my message was returned unclaimed. I would like to have more information on your direct family. Is Armande Francoeur the native woman you are referring to?. You can write to me directly at g.charron(a)videotron.ca

You mentioned that both Ovide and wife died can you tell me how? I used to fish with Ovide in Poltimore with my father Edmond Charron Son of Edmond Senior one of Noe Charron sons.My father used to visit his cousins just outside of Poltimore heading to his uncle Louis Farm house near the fork in that gravel road.I hade very fond times in Poltimore.I used to tease my father because he would say this was trout country. But the biggest trout I caught was about eight inches long and those trout were tricky indeed. My Fathers uncle Henri showed me how to fish for them.He used to be the game warden at one time.He must have been a good one he never fined me for fishing without a license. He died in Poltimore of a heart attack in the woods. My Grandfather Edmond Charron was living with a native women in Low Qc that is where he died in a little cabin South of the tracks.I remember my father visiting a relative who owned a pool room in Poltimore.I remember the welcoming the Charron Family !
in Poltimore gave us when we visited they were good people God Bless the all what a family what love and kindness they showed to one another. They lived the way it should be today. Your Distant Cousin From Alberta Canada(Kanada)

Hi Bill
We are little cousins. Noe Charron was the cousin of my grandfather Julien Charron. Noe Charron was the son of Louis Charron and Rosalie Renaud. That Louis Charron is the son of Louis Charron and his first wife Josephte Desjardins. The father of my grandfather Julien is Francois Charron who happens to be the son of the same Louis and his second wife Pauline Ethier. The Louis and the Ovide you are referring to in one of your posting could be Louis Charron (Clara Bisson) and his son Ovide who was living with Charmaine Malette in Poltimore. Ovide and Charmaine Malette both died in 1989. They are buried in Poltimore.
This is myconnection:
Gerald Charron
Henri Charron (Evangeline Bertrand)
Julien Charron (Amanda Poitras)
Francois Charron (Edwidge Rochon)
Louis Charron (Josephte Desjardins - Pauline Ethier)
