I don't have any info on your ancestors, but I have collected info on
Michigan and Mt. Clemens Charrons/Sharrons/Sharrows.
You might want to take a look at my two genealogy sites:
www.sharrow.com/genealogy/ and/or

If you do get more info, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Hi Listers -------- My third great grandmother's name was Marie Louise
CHARRON. According to several census records she was born in Vermont
(Enosburg or Hinesburgh) around 1800. She married Louis BISSONNETTE ca 1825
in Enosburg or Hinesburgh and their marriage was blessed by the Catholic
Church in St. Charles parish Quebec in 1830.
We have Louis traced back through Quebec but have been unable to find Marie's
parents who were born in Canada. Any help would be welcome.

Simon Charron (son of Simon Charron-b.1807 and Therese Godfroy-dit-Balard-b.1812-d.1836), my great-greatgrandfather, was was born between 1827 (US civil records) and 1830 (Ontario church records) depending on whether you believe US Civil War and Census data or baptismal records -- or did he have different parents?
It seems that he was born in St. Pierre (Parish?), Tilbury East Township, Ontario (Baptism record says 10 Oct 1830). I think he had at least one brother: Antoine.
I'm trying to find out as much as I can about this family, but so far, not much luck. Simon's father was born in St. Pierre, his mother died there. Simon+Therese were married there on 8 Feb 1830.
I'm wondering:
1) were there other children?
2) did Simon the father remarry? when did he die?
3) when did Simon the son move to Michigan? why?
4) are there other Ontario Simon Charrons who were born in 1830 and who might really be my gg-grandfather.
Information on other Charrons from St. Pierre also wanted.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
