2002, at age 60. She was the wife of Rejean Brunet for many years.
Daughter of the late Ronaldo Charron and the late Germaine Deault. Dear
mother of Ginette (Richard Bazinet), Paul (Elizabeth Elliott), Joane
(Marc Proulx). Loving grandmother of Philippe and Carolann Bazinet,
Dominique Brunet and Natasha Brunet Proulx. Sister of Denise, Lisette,
Colette, Jean-Louis, Helene and Agathe. Will be fondly remembered by

PLAINFIELD - Ovila D. Charron ,98, formerly of 10 Canterbury Rd., Plainfield died Friday at Harrington Court in Colchester. He was born in Baltic July 3, 1903, a son of the late Eli and Victoria (Charron) Charron. Mr. Charron had resided in Plainfield since 1922. He had been employed by the former Ponemah Mills in Taftville for over 25 years retiring in 1968. Mr. Charron was a communicant of St. John The Apostle Church in Plainfield. He was the husband of Dora (Ducharme) Charron who died October 2,1988. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ernest L. And Claire Charron Sr. of Wauregan; a daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Charron of Putnam; a brother, Emile Charron formerly of Danielson; two sisters, Beatrice Davis of Norwich and Doris Gallup of Vernon; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Rene R. Charon who died in 1975; and five sisters; Blanche, Aura, Ida, Diana and Rena!
. The funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 AM from Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd. Plainfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. John The Apostle Church. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John Church, 10 Railroad Ave., Plainfield, CT. 06374.

Francis Charron, 71, of South Hadley, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, in the Meadowood Nursing Home. A lifelong town resident, he was born in South Hadley and graduated from South Hadley High School in 1948. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, where he served on the Parish Council, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Men's Club. He worked in furniture sales at JCPenney's. He also had worked at Carlisle Hardware, Weinstein, Steiger's, and Valley Furniture. He was a former South Hadley Planning Board member and had served as Chairman of the Appeals Board. He was a 50-year town meeting member and was a member of the South Hadley Housing Authority. He served on the Democratic Committee, Commercial Industrial Development Committee, and Holyoke Jr. Chamber of Commerce Senator International.
He was a member of the Beaver's Club, South Hadley Knights of Columbus 1721, South Hadley Council on Aging, and the Friends of the Elderly.
He is survived by a brother, John B. Charron of South Hadley; two sisters, Joan F. Hebert andElizabeth Cox, both of South Hadley; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Charron of South Hadley; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Saturday, May 4, 2002, from the RYDER FUNERAL HOME followed by Mass in the church with burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick's Church Building Fund, 30 Main St., South Hadley, MA 01075.
