Greetings, All,
I continue to seek ANY info on my gt'gt'grandfather:
Pierre (Joseph Pierre?) CABANA dit CHARRON:
1870 Michigan, USA census reads, born in Canada
married circa 1842/3, Canada (Quebec or Ontario, probably) to
Marie Louise Caroline GARAND/ GARANT (GAREAU?)
b. circa 1820s d. circa 1849-56-, perhaps around Arthur, Ontario
Known and possible children:
i. Caroline
ii. Joseph Pierre Arthur b. ca 1849
iii. Marie or Louise
iv. statement on land papers say he's father of 4 children
In 1864, dtr. Caroline is married at St. Andre d'Argenteuil (Argenteuil Co.,
) to Gilbert BLAIS...however she had been "adopted" by the
LADOUCEUR family, so Pierre may not have resided nearby.
Pierre remarried as resident of N.D. Ottawa, Canada in 1857 to
widower, Helene GOUIN.
By 1867, he's residing in Cheboygan Co MI, where he died in 1878
of diphtheria.
Hi
I have an old postcard for a Fred CHARON. It is postmarked 1901 and it
contains his full mailing address.
I would like to reunite this item with a family member
Thank you
Ashley

My grandmother's name was Amy Emile (Emma) Sharon (Charron). Difficult to tell as I believe she was not completely literate. She spoke French, I do know that. Listed on one of her documents is her mother's name--Odile Derouches (DesRouches?)--and her father's name Charles Sharon. Since she spelled Charles with an "s", I can only assume that she may not have known how to spell her last name correctly. I believe my grandmother was of French Canadian descent. Odile Derouches Sharon lived in Windsor through the 1920s, as my mother remembers visiting her there as a child. My mother's birthplace was in Detroit in "Frenchtown" around St. Anne's Church. She also attended St. Anne's Ecole. Can anyone out there help me with more detail on this?
I have a Louise Bourdon m. to Joseph Lapierre. Their daughter, Esmerie
married Louis Edmond Charron 1888 in St-Denis, St-Hyacinthe, QC. No parents
for Louise are listed. Does this help?
