Hello,
The Carpenter Y-DNA Project now has 39 members! The web page with a general lineage page has been updated.

The Y-DNA passed from father to son remains fairly consistent throughout the generations. This makes it useful to compare one person to another. Slight changes occur over time allowing a comparison of one Carpenter to another to see how closely related they are to each other.
The Y-DNA project is open to all Carpenters. We now have samples from many different branches of Carpenters. Rehoboth, Providence, Swiss-German and many Southern Carpenter Lines. See our General Lineage section on our page page.
If you are at a dead end on your Carpenter research, consider the option of the Y-DNA.
John R. Carpenter
