Shaler Township
Regis E. Charlton, 73, of Shaler Township, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, in UPMC Passavant, Pittsburgh. He was born Feb. 3, 1938, in Pittsburgh, to the late Regis H. and Dorothy (Rice) Charlton. Mr. Charlton retired from the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County, where he over saw the water tank maintenance. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Shields) Charlton, whom he married Sept. 5, 1959; his three daughters, Lisa (Richard) Merten, of Hampton Township, Lori (Gary) Kroner, of Hampton Township, and Lynn (Peter) Kramer, of Hampton Township; his four grandchildren, Bridget Merten, Gabrielle and Rachel Kroner and Regis Kramer; his six siblings, Dolores Markham, of Plum, Helen (Robert) Carter, of Cheswick, Marilyn "Jaye" Long, of Evans City, Roy (Cathy) Charlton, of Freeport, Anita (Samuel) Carnabucci, of Avonmore, and John Charlton of Westmoreland County; and a number of nieces and !
nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his granddaughter, Jessica Seholm. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the HERBERT R. KING JR. FUNERAL HOME INC., 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church, 2510 Middle Road, Glenshaw. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Glenshaw.
