My grandfather John Gardner Charlton born ~1879 in Peel county left Ontario
for Rutland, BC sometime before 1911 but I was unable to find him in the
1901 census in either place. His father was Robert Golden Charlton and
mother Sophia Gates (Gardner). He did go by the name Jack.

Message Board Post:
I have found two conflicting records for George and Elizabeth. Both records indicate they have a son named John William (my ggrandfather) and both are in Durham, England. The birth dates for George are off by about 12 years. I don't know how to reconcile this. Does anyone have any information that would help?
Thank you so much,
Marline Schindewolf
