Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Hi, Nan,
I just received your note and would love to have an invite to the MyFamily site. Information on Lucy Kennon, sister of Ann Hunt Kennon, is difficult to find. I do have a record of there being a Lucy Kennon Hall, daughter of Ann Hunt Kennon and her first husband.
My GGGgrandmother was Lucy Kennon Macon, born 1815, Sumter, SC. It is my belief Lucy Kennon, Ann's sister, was the wife of Hartwell Macon, Sr. (Va.>NC>SC) and the grandmother of my Lucy Kennon Macon. As so often is the case, my branch of the Macon family has some convoluted relationships (eg.: Hartwell Macon, Jr., son of Hartwell and Lucy Kennon, m. the widow of his business associate, Elizabeth Brunson nee Powell, becoming the stepfather to the Brunson children. One of these Brunson girls (Elizabeth Bradford nee Brunson) m. a Bradford first and, upon his death, m. Hartwell Macon's brother, Warner Macon.
Hartwell Macon, Jr. and Elizabeth Brunson had a daughter in 1805 and named her Lucy Kennon Macon. Following the marriage of Elizabeth Bradford nee Brunson to Warner Macon, brother of her step-father, Elizabeth and Warner Macon, became parents of a second Lucy Kennon Macon. . There is also mention of an Elizabeth Kennon m. Henry Isham Macon, who may have been a relative of Lucy and Ann Hunt Kennon. All of these last Macon's lived in SC.
I believe Henry Isham Kennon to be the father of Lucy and Ann Hunt Kennon, but have no idea who the mother might have been.
I have come across materials that refer to Dr. T. Charlton's wife as Lucy rather than Ann Kennon. Perhaps we can sort this out!
I look forward to hearing from you!

I tried to respond to you via the Charlton rootsweb list. Don't know if you received it or not. We have a Myfamily.com site which includes Dr. Thomas Charlton of Camden, S.C. I offered to send you an invite but not sure if I did yet-maybe I didn't know your name. Anyway, we have a great many descendants in this line, but seek clarification on Lucy. I have her as Ann Hunt Kennon's sister and another Lucy as Ann Hunt Kennon's daughter by her first husband John Hall Jr.
I hope we can communicate and share further.
Hi all,
The new Rootsweb mailing list system (Mailman) will be going into effect
over the next couple of weeks, staggered alphabetically according to the
following schedule:
Thursday, August 17 - Lists A-C
Monday, August 21 - Lists D-F
Tuesday, August 22 - Lists G-I
Wednesday, August 23 - Lists J-L
Thursday, August 24 - Lists M-O
Monday, August 28 - Lists P-R
Tuesday, August 29 - Lists S-U
Wednesday, August 30 - Lists V-Z
You may check this link for any changes to the timetable:
http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/migrate_sched.html
While the "migration" of our lists to a new server should process
uneventfully for listmembers, there are a few points we need to cover:
1. AOL users, please check your spam folders, and, if you find list mail
held as spam, you will need to be sure to click the *THIS IS NOT SPAM* link
to send the list mail to your current mailbox. This will 'train' the system
to understand that mail from this new server is not spam.
2. If you are subscribed to both L & D mail modes of our list, the new
system is not set up to send both to the same email address. If you want to be
subscribed in both modes (many sub to both -- regular mail mode to read and
delete and digest to file and save), it will be necessary to use another email
address for your digest mail. It is my understanding that if you are subbed
to the list in both mail modes with the same address you will be dropped
from the digest list roster, so if this happens to you, please resub with
another address (Yahoo is a good choice for an alternate addy). This will not
effect those who sub in either of the mail modes exclusively.
3. If you want to post from more then one account, just send me the
addresses of the extra accounts and I will add them to the Accept List. This means
you can *post* from any of those accounts but you will only *receive* the
listmail from the one you originally used to subscribe. This feature is handy
if you want to post from work but would prefer not to receive Rootsweb mail at
your place of business.
4. As a precaution, I've copied our mailing list roster of subscribers
before the change to the new server. In the event you receive an unsub notice,
please contact me at TimeTrvlrO(a)aol.com and we'll correct the problem.
Thanks for your patience!
Regards,
LaRae, listmgr.
