Recently I was given this family photo that has no names on it. It was found in my family's personal collection.
We think they are from one of the families listed that lived in the Des Arc or Vulcan area of Iron County, Missouri.
If you are a descendant please email me and tell me so and I will be more than happy to provide you with a copy of this photo without the banners.
You can email at: griff522(a)yahoo.com

I'm looking for information on Fanny Charlton, born abt. 1865. In the 1880 census she is living with brother George T. Charlton in Pleasant Grove, VA. Earlier census records exist for George in the same area of Virginia. The mother's name was Mary Charlton. Father's name unknown.
Fanny Charlton married Louis Sorcho in Fulton County, GA on Mar. 24, 1896. From that point on, she used the name Frances Namon Sorcho. She also used a stage name, Frances Namon. I do not know where the "Namon" name came from.
Louis Sorcho had remarried by 1920, but I don't know if the marriage to Fanny Charlton ended much earlier; how it ended, or if there were children. All references to her stage act as "Frances Namon" end about 1907. There are references to a "Mrs. Sorcho" in 1909 and 1913, but I don't know which spouse is referred to.

What proof do you have that Mary Charlton lived to be 115 years old.
I also show that Nathaniel Sullivan was the son of Mary and Charles

In Virginia a somewhat kindred case was that of one Mr. Henry Charlton of Hungar's Parish in 1633. For slandering the minister, Mr. Cotton, Charlton was ordered "to make a pair of stocks and set in them several Sabbath days after divine service, and then ask Mr. Cotton's forgiveness for using
offensive words concerning him."
I am not related to this family, just passing on this information, which comes from a webpage called "WebRoots Library U.S. Miscellaneous" The link for the site is listed below.
