Michael, my branch of the Charltons originates in Sheriff Hill but I do not have any recent information on sideshoots, nor do I recognise "lindsiey road".
My line starts at John Charlton (unknown), son Robert Charlton b. 1851/2, Sheriff Hill. Married Isabella Latimar (b. 1855 Byker, Ncle/Tyne) 1873 St John's Ncle. Children:
Isabella b.1874/5, John Latimer 1876, George 1877/8, Mary Annie 1880/1, Eleanor 1882/3, Robert Willie 1887/8, Harry Noel (my gfather) 1893 and Ethel Maud 1889/1900, all born in Sodhouse Bank, Sheriff Hill.
John Latimer married Minnie Cook 1898, Gateshead and I only know of one son, James Herbert b. 1898, Gateshead, who married Margaret Coulson 1928, Gateshead.
Someone else may be able to help with more recent.
Will contact you off-list to give you details, John.

John please attempt to be more specific as to locations and possible dates of births for the persons you are inquiring about. Thanks John C.
Dave,
Would you by any chance have a Vincent Raymond Charlton in your line ?
He was born in Washington, D.C , in May, 1911, d/March 1969 in Virginia.
Vincent had a brother by the name of Joseph.
Just thought it worth a try. We know very little about either of these two
Charlton's.
Leta

that I have a connection with the Charlton in my family files and the names
that you have posted. My Charlton is Mary Margaret Charlton. She married
David Hull in McLean Co, Illinois. However, the census data states that she
was born in Pennsylvania. I know that her husband's family was actually from
Washington Co, PA, so perhaps the families knew each other before moving to
Illinois. She married David in December of 1875. I have just ordered their
marriage record, so may know more soon. If you feel that there is a
connection, please let me know. If, however, you know that this definitely
is NOT a connection, also please let me know. Thanks! Dave
