Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Will check my family file for info on your Harwell and Charlton. My Harwell are from the Marshall County & Giles County area. Not sure about the Charlton. I do know William Edwin Charlton mar in Marshall County{10 Jan 1845 to Margaret A. Snell & 24 Feb 1863 to a Martha E. Bills} & and he is buried in Bethbirei Church Cem. Also, two of his daughter marr & rasied their families there in Marshall County.
Martha Jane Charlton marry James Anderson Stewart Planning on going to state archieve tomorrow, to search for more records.

I noticed that you have Harwell and Charlton listed. My Charltons came into Davidson Co., TN, John Charlton and his wife Ann (?), from Cumberland Co., VA. Their son James married Rachel Blackmore in Sumner Co. TN, August 26, 1807. Their son, Polemon W. married Mary Ann Harwell, June 9, 1836, in Columbus, MS. Mary Ann Harwell was from Giles Co. TN, the daughter of Buckner Harwell Jr. and Judith Hurt.

Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton was the second child of Dr. Richard Bayley and Catherine Charlton Bayley. Elizabeth was 3 years old when her mother died. (Catherine was the daughter of Mary Bayeux Charlton and the Rev. Richard Charlton) he was the Rector of St. Andrews Church on Staten Island. Years there 1747-1777. He was the son of John Charlton of Longford, Ireland. Richard had graduated form Trinity College in Dublin and was sent as a missionary to New Windsor, New York, in 1730. In 1733 he was made catechist to the Negroes of New York City and served in that capacity until he was appointed rector of St. Andrew's Church, Nov 24, 1747. He died of dysentery on Oct 7.1777. His eldest daughter married John Dongan; his son was Dr. John Chalton of New York City. Cf. J. J. Clute, The Annals of Staten Island from its Discovery to the Present Time (New York1877), p 264; The Correspondence of John Henry Hobart (New York, 1912), III, 515-517.
Dr Richard Bayley came to New York from New Rchelle at the age of 20 to study with Dr. John Charlton. Dr Charlton had studied in England and had been rather prominent at the court of George III, he married Mary de Peyster, daughter of Abraham de Peyster and Margaret van Courtlandt de Peyster.
