I would like to find out more about Martha's family. I do not know her mother's name, I think her Father was Thomas. Martha was born about 1809 in Shenandoah, VA. Both her family and the FOSTER families moved to Hardy County then in VA and Mineral County, Va or WV. Martha probably died during the 1870 's. She may be buried in the Philos Cemetery in WV. She last lived in Piedmont Township, Mineral County, WV. I am trying to find out her siblings names also. I have more information on the FOSTER's than I do on the CHARLTON's. I hope I connect with someone. I have not had any luck so far.

Hi Joanne, just wondered if you managed to confirm your link to Bobby and Jack Charlton. My Grandfather also told me that we were related to the Charlton's through my Grandmother (whose surname was Clark and came from the Gateshead area). I haven't researched that side of the family yet, so haven't found the link.

I have a photo taken early 1900s of Walter or Walker Charlton, who's parents likey were John R. Charlton b. 1865 and Amma (Amanda?)Tiller Charlton. John received a land grant in AR but the family may have moved on to MO or OK.
Another photo is Otho Charlton who was the son of either John R. above or his brother William Harvey Charlton b. 14 May 14, 1887 VA, d. 1919 Buhl, ID and Alsaida (Sadie) Tiller Charlton. Wm. also received an AR land grant and may have moved on to MO or OK. I'll be happy to email these photos to anyone related and would like to know more about these families.

I am a Charlton from Fishtown originally. My dad was George Charlton - he was one of thirteen children born to Edward & Christina Matt Charlton. Are you related to these Charltons?

Hi Etta
I lost touch with you and everyone else for that matter. We almost lost our home this year. We had a house fire all but a total loss.We all got out thank GOD. All except our dog. Our daughter Beth got her as a pup about 11 years ago. We still miss her. Well as you can imagine 30 years of work gone.Discs melted, water damage etc. Gordon Howard has been helping me get our CHARLTON family back together. He is a treasure. Well my wife wants the compooter by for now. Greg Davidson
