I am looking for anybody that may have a connection to these two people.
I am not sure where or when they married but it appears that Edward CHARLTON
had family in Alnwick in the County of Northumberland in England around 1800.
Edward had a sister named Phillis CHARLTON, first married to someone with the
name of WEAR or WEIR, next married to a man by the name of JORDON.
Edward CHARLTON also had a sister named Jane that married someone with the
name TURNEY(?) they had two sons, Thomas TURNEY(?) and John TURNEY(?) and
daughter Jane TURNEY(?).
The TURNEY(?) children were living Hartley near North Shields, England around
1800.
Edward CHARLTON and Jane HUNTER both died without issue.
Anyone with a connection to these people please contact me.
Thanks Janet
I descend from Thomas Charlton and Alice Usher Charlton who were in
Frederick Co., MD in the mid 1700's. Their great grandson, Thomas Charlton,
Jr. whose parents were Thomas Charlton, Sr. and Sarah Fugate moved to
Columbiana Co., OH about 1822. I found their graves this summer near
Guilford Lake. There is a street in Guilford Lake named Charlton. I assume
it was named for Thomas Charlton, Jr.
There is another Charlton family in a neighboring county, Stark Co., OH and
I'm trying to connect these two lines. John Charlton of Pennsylvania (no
country known) married Mary Ann Gibson in Stark Co., OH on December 18,
1833. John Charlton's father was William Charlton and his wife's name was
Sarah. I have several children for John and Mary Ann Gibson Charlton. I'm
hoping to find someone that descended from them and knows something about
the connection to my line in Columbiana County, OH.
