Hello list
Browsing through the Ellis Island Foundation site (
www.ellisislandrecords.org )
recently, I came across the following entry:
Charlesworth, Walter
English
Holmfirth, England
September 08, 1922
26y
M S Carmania Liverpool, England, UK
Charlesworth, Walter September 08, 1922 Cobh (Queenstown) - port of
departure
We believe this to be my wife's uncle who was thought to have "gone to
Canada" and I guess that was possible after arriving at Ellis Island.
I will be very grateful if any list member can give me an idea as to where
to start research along this line whilst based in the UK.
many thanks

Over $93 million has been donated to help relief efforts from our nation's
disaster. A website http://www.libertyunited.org has been established and
is being promoted by Yahoo, EBay, Amazon, AOL,Cisco Systems and Microsoft.
The site offers direct links to non-profits such as Red Cross,
Survivors'Fund, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, Sept.11th Fund,
Firefighters and police relief funds, and United Jewish Communities.
They are also offering banners and links to their site you can put on your
own websites. I will be adding one to my website
http://staplhorse.tripod.com and I encourage those of you with websites to
do the same.
It is truly amazing how, through this disaster, people have grown up
spiritually. I hope our commitment to helping each other never stops!
