I am seeking information on the marriage of William CHARLES Jr. and Elizabeth KENT. How many children did they have? Is Robert H. CHARLES descended from them? Wasn't he the Radio Broadcaster, who signed off saying " The moving finger having written moves on signed Robert Charles" He worked for a while here in Montgomery. At one of the TV or Radio Stations.

FWIW: I am nowhere near that far back... yet so sorry I cannot help you.
Good luck though.
I am having a problem with a couple of the Charles' in my family tree.
Edward Charles - who (on family search) was born around 1750 - 1755 at
Willoughby on the Wolds, Leicester England, father Thomas Charles. My main
problem is that I have gone through the Willoughby on the Wolds Parish
records and can't find a birth for him. Nor can I find Thomas Charles who is
listed as his father with a birth around 1724. I have searched right from
the early 1700s until after all of Edward's children were born.
His age in his death record would have him being born around 1749. I have
found an Edward Charles christened in 1749 in Wymeswold (where Thomas's
parents were supposed to have been married) and he is an illegitimate child
of Mary Charles.
Can anyone with connections to this family (Edward married Hannah Hulse and
had several children) and can help me with my problems, I would love to hear
from you as I believe the information on Familysearch to be incorrect unless
someone can correct the information I have continually found in many
-peoples family trees.
Thanks in advance.
