Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

This is just a quick note to let you know that I have just assumed administration of the Charlebois message board and the Charlebois mail list. They have been running smoothly and I don’t anticipate much in the way of changes.
I would like to thank Duane Poncy for the time he spent as administrator and for agreeing to resign so I could take over.
In case anyone wants to know where I fit in the family, I am listing my two Charlebois lines below. I guess I could be called a double Charlebois since I descend from two of Jean Charlebois and Marthe Perrier’s children. VULCAN — Crystal K. Charlevoix, 20, of Vulcan, died on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Norway.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the church with Rev. John Voelker officiating.
Arrangements were made with the Miner Funeral Home in Norway.

Crystal Charlevoix
VULCAN - Crystal K. Charlevoix, 20, of Vulcan, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was born on Aug. 29, 1983, in Norway, the daughter of Donald and Teresa (Grunlund) Charlevoix.
Crystal loved her family. She touched everyone she encountered. Her wants were few.
The delight she expressed when opening a box of cereal or sharing popcorn with her dad was priceless. Crystal had difficulty with her speech and yet she was able to sing all the verses of “Jesus Loves Me” to her Bethany Family.
Even after death, Crystal will touch many lives through “Gift of Life” organ donation.
She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Norway.
Crystal is survived by her parents, Don and Teresa Charlevoix; a brother Joseph Charlevoix of Traverse City; a sister, Holly Charlevoix of Vulcan; her grandparents, Harold and Alice Charlevoix of Hardwood and Bob and Darlene Grunlund of Norway; four aunts and uncles, “Butch” and Kathy Dabb of Iron Mountain, Gary and Lorna Charlevoix of Hyde, Mark and Maura Grunlund of Staten Island, N.Y., and James and Connie Grunlund of Norway Township; cousins, Jeff (Tina) Dabb and Jodi Dabb, Jill, Stacy and Kari Charlevoix, Megan and Sam Grunlund, Ryan and Tyler Grunlund and MaKenna Dabb and Todd Dabb; special friends, the Bjornson family, Dr. Paul Hayes, friends from Westwood, Pinewood Homes, Trico Opportunities, Golden “K” Kiwanis and the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District.

FLORENCE MARGARET CHARLEBOIS
Funeral services were held Monday, April 19, 1999 at the St. Rita Catholic Church for Florence Margaret Charlebois, age 87, of Chatham. Father Sebastian Kavumkal officiated and the interment was in the Mathias Township Cemetery.
Mrs. Charlebois died April 15 following a brief illness. She was born August 22, 1911 in Kiva to the late Lawrence and Sarah (McEachern) McNamara. Florence lived in the Chatham area most of her life. She married Albert Donald Charlebois on February 28, 1938 and he preceded her in death on August 12, 1992. Florence was a member of St. Rita’s Church in Tenary where she had been active in the church’s Guild. She often times attended St. Therese Church in AuTrain. Florence was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, bowling, cooking, baking and taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include: children-Larry of Chatham, Mary of Flint, Janet (Gilbert) Beauleau of Green Bay, WI, James (Gloria) of Chatham, Joyce (Dale) Newton of Flint, and Fran (Archie) Hakkola of Eben; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Martin (Evelyn) McNamara; sister-in-law, Ann McNamara; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Mary Alice, brothers-Lawrence, Sherman, and Jim, and sisters-Patricia, Julia, Agnes, Marie, and Cecile.
