Mr. Charlebois had a special fondness of the outdoors, especially fishing, gardening and camping. His early retirement years were active, being busy with the renovations of St. Joseph's Church. While a resident of Marcelin he was a local School Trustee, and was a member of the founding Board of the Marcelin Credit Union. Mr. Charlebois was actively involved in the community of Marcelin and also in Prince Albert where he was an active member of his Parish Church of St. Joseph's. Memorials in lieu of flowers to the Sask. Lung Association, or any charity of the donors choice. Interment in South Hill Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to River Park Limited.

IRON MOUNTAIN – Lydia M. Charlebois, 92, of Hardwood, died Saturday at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Norway.
Mrs. Charlebois was born Jan. 4, 1899 in Hardwood, daughter of the late Peter and Caroline Anderson. She had been a resident of Hardwood her entire life.
She married Robert Charlebois on June 18, 1929 in Perronville. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1987.
Mrs. Charlebois was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Foster City and was the church organist for 22 years. She also was an avid baseball fan.
She leaves a daughter, Ruth (Wendell) Sanders of Hardwood; seven grandchildren, Roberta Sanders (Larry Malanowski) of White Fish Bay, Wis., Laurel (Ike) Green of Buchanan, lower Michigan, Jerry (Sue) Sanders of Quinnesec, Janet Sanders (Wayne Barta) of Hartland, Wis., Larry (Debbie) Sanders of Niagara, Dennis (Penny) Sanders of Three Oaks, lower Michigan and Gregory (Julianne) Sanders of Buffalo Grove, Ill., 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma and nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Eriickson-Roshon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. Liturgical prayers will be recited at 7 this evening.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Foster City. Fr. Robert Paruleski will offer the Mass of the Resurrection.
Burial will be in the Foster City Cemetery.

IRON MOUNTAIN – Robert (Bob) Charlebois, 80, of Hardwood died Monday at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Norway.
Mr. Charlebois was born Feb. 23, 1907 in Hardwood, son of the late Henry and Margaret Charlebois. He was a Lifelong resident of Hardwood, and was self-employed as a farmer and woodsman. He married the former Lydia Anderson on June 18, 1929 in Perronville.
Mr. Charlebois was the director of Production Credit Association in Escanaba for 10 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church in Foster City, and a member of the Dickinson County Soil Conversation Commission.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ruth Sanders of Hardwood; a brother, Albert Charlebois of Chatham; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Steven and Don, and three sisters, Margaret, Alice and Esther.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Erickson-Rochon Funeral Home, with liturgical prayers to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Foster City, with Fr. Dan Rupp to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Foster City Cemetery.

CHARLEBOIS - Sara Jeanne. It is with sorrow that the family of Sara Charlebois announce her death at the Civic Hospital on Friday morning April 21st, aged 28 years. A private Cremation has been held.
For two years Sara fought brain cancer with remarkable courage and dignity. Sara was the cherished younger daughter of Lee and Louis Charlebois of Ottawa and loved sister of Jacki Watt and dear aunt to Brendan and Erin, of Surrey U.K. Sara was the cousin and dear friend of Virginia, Raymond, Louise and Simone Lafond of Ottawa and friend of Hisane Fujishiro of Tokyo. All have given invaluable love and support. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother Lucy Bunting and great-aunt Ellen Ryan, both of Gorokan, Australia and by her paternal grandmother Ethel Charlebois and uncle and aunt Geoff and Aurore Charlebois and family of Saskatoon. As an A.F.S. student she was the host daughter of Shigeo and Noriko Morita and host sister to Ayumi, of Shiga Prefecture, Japan, where she attended Ze Ze High School. Sara knew Noriko and Shigeo as true parents and Ayumi as her sister.
Sara leaves many friends in Australia, Japan and Canada. The family wish to express their thanks and appreciation to the corporation and staff of Mitsui (Australia) and the medical staff and practitioners, both in Sydney and Ottawa, who cared for Sara, with special thanks to both the staff of St. Vincent's, Sydney and the staff of G1, Ottawa Civic Hospital. We are also grateful for the kindness of The Hospice of All Saints, Ottawa and the CNIB, Ottawa. Mac e. Charlebois, 45, of, 1241 Franklin street, died suddenly at the family home Wednesday.
He was a member of the Eagles lodge and had resided in Bellingham for 34 years.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Anna Charlebois; a brother, Antoine; a sister, Mrs. Marie Vanderway; three nephews and a niece, al of Bellingham.
Westford-Beck funeral home will announce services.

CHARLEBOIS – Mr. Ludovic Charlebois, age 85, beloved husband of Mrs. Marie-Rose “Millie” Charlebois of St. Ann’s Home, Saskatoon and formerly of Marcelin passed away in a Saskatoon Hospital on Wednesday, April 23, 1986. Prayer service will be held from the St. Ann’s Home Chapel on Sunday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Fr. G. Kuckartz officiating. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Marcelin on Monday, April 28 at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Fr. G.L. Roussel OMI. Marthe-de-Vaudreuil, P.Q., the late Mr. Charlebois came West and to the Marcelin, Sask. district with his parents in 1910. In 1924, he married Millie Cote and they farmed there until 1957. They had moved into Marcelin in 1955, then to Saskatoon in 1982. Pallbearers will be Robert, Kenneth, Maurice, Dwayne, Mark, and Brent Charlebois. Interment in the Marcelin Catholic Cemetery. COTE – Mrs. Irene (Reina). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother at Mont. St. Joseph, Prince Albert on January 10, 2000. Irene is survived by three daughters. Evelyn (Lloyd) Chase of Arborfield, Jeanne Arend of Calgary and Rita (Alex) Gorkoff of Moose Jaw; sons, Maurice (Lucille) Cote of Leask and Leo (Gall) Cote of Prince Albert; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; a sister; numerous nieces and nephews, Irene was predeceased by her husband, George; an infant son, Laurent; parents Hermenegilde and Alvina Charlebois; seven brothers; two sisters; and a son-in-law. The Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, January 13 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 260-25th St. East in Prince Albert. CLARENCE VANDERWAY
Clarence Vanderway, 75, of Everett, passed away early Sat. morning in a local Hospital following a long illness.
Mr. Vanderway was born in Chicago, Ill and came to the Northwest as a child. He resided in Bellingham prior to coming to Everett in 1941. A mill-worker with the Eclipse Lumber Co. Mr. Vanderway retired in 1965
He was a member of Peninsular Lodge No. 95, F.& AM and Columbia Chapter no. 33, O.E.S.
Surviving are his wife Marie A. Vanderway at the family home, three sons, George, Marysville Wa. Robert, Bothell, Wa. James, Fairfield Ca. A daughter, Mrs. Doris Penzinski, Longley wa. three brothers, Henry, Herman and Willam, all of Bellingham, Wa. and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wed. 1 p.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy. The Rev. Paul Graves officiating. Private family-interment will follow in Greenland Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity.

MARIE A. VANDERWAY
Marie A. Vanderway, 79, of Everett died May 14, 1987
Mrs. Vanderway was born Oct. 7, 1907, in Vancouver, Wa. and had resided in this area since 1941. She was a 56 year member and post matron of the Columbia Chapter No. 33 of the Order of Eastern Star. She was employed by the Everett Bon Marche for many years until her retirement in 1968.
She leaves three sons, Robert Vanderway of Bothell, George Vanderway of Marysville and James of California, daughter, Doris Mannon of Everett, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tues. in the Chapel of Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home, Private burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
